3480 Series 18-Track Tape Drive From Fujitsu

 The
3480 series 18 track M2483B/BD (rackmount) tape drive and the 3480
series 18 track 2485B/BD/B1/BD1 (desktop) tape drives are half inch
cartridge tape drives with 3480, 3490 compatibility, offering leading
mainframe technology for data interchange and backup to workstations
and other advanced computer platforms.
Features:
- Includes ANSI compliant microcode, designed to be fully compatible
with ANSI standard for SCSI-2
- Supported by Fujitsu's enhanced data recording capability EDRC),
the data recording method is compatible with IBM's improved data
recording capability (IDRC)
- Automatic cartridge loader and flush mount automatic loader
available
- Fast data transfer rate of up to 3 megabytes per second
