3490 Series 18-Track Tape Drive From Fujitsu

 The
3490 series M2483H/HD (rackmount) 18 track drive and M2485H/HD/H1/HD1
(desktop) 18 track drive are half inch cartridge tape drives with
3480, 3490 compatibility, offering leading mainframe technology
for data interchange and backup to workstations and other advanced
computer platforms.
Features:
- Includes ANSI compliant microcode, designed to be fully compatible with
ANSI standard for SCSI-2
- Supported by Fujitsu's enhanced data recording capability (EDRC),
the data recording method is compatible with IBM's improved data
recording capability (IDRC)
- Automatic cartridge loader and flush mount automatic loader
available
- Fast data transfer rate of up to 3 megabytes per second
