3490E Series 36-Track Tape Drive From Fujitsu

 The 3490e series 36 track M2483N/ND (rackmount) tape drive and the 3490e
series 36-track M2485N/ND/N1/ND1 (desktop) tape drives are half inch cartridge tape drives with
3490e compatibility, offering leading mainframe technology for data interchange and backup to
workstations and other advanced computer platforms.

- 36-track bi-directional recording format
- Includes ANSI compliant microcode, designed to be fully compatible with ANSI standard
for SCSI-2
- Supported by Fujitsu's enhanced data recording capability (EDRC),
the data recording method is compatible with IBM's improved data recording
capability (IDRC)
- Automatic cartridge loader and flush mount automatic loader available
- Fast data transfer rate of up to 3 megabytes per second
