1989, Computer Peripherals Unlimited, Inc. has been a leading supplier
of tape and disk systems, allowing for reliable, high-performance
backup, data interchange and mass storage.
CPU, Inc. (Computer Peripherals Unlimited, Inc.) was founded in
1989. In 1992 the company purchased Flagstaff Engineering and in
1994 purchased NovaStor Corporation's hardware division. CPU now
has over 6,300 customers at 21,000 locations worldwide.
The company operates from two locations. Corporate operations and
administration are managed from the company's main offices in Flagstaff,
Arizona. Sales, engineering and distribution are located in Phoenix,
Arizona.
CPU's products include tape drives, tape backup and tape libraries
including: 9-track, 3480/3490/3490e, DLT, 4mm DAT, 8mm, QIC. The
company also supplies state of the art tape processing utilities,
and a diskette conversion system capable of reading/writing more
than 300 diskette formats from all types of computers.
Products are usually available from stock and CPU provides free
technical support on all items.
